Designed for backpacking camping for 3 hikers looking for an instant pitching tent and good storage space.

 

 

Care Instructions : CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. RESIN STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the resin brittle so it will come off more easily. STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is completely dry to prevent odours and mould formation.

 

Ventilation : 1 upper ventilation flap at the back, 2 low side flaps, breathable bedroom fabric. You can leave the bedroom door half-open at the top thanks to the 2-way zip. Everything is designed to allow air to circulate between the bedroom and flysheet, for more breathability and to limit natural condensation.

 

Tested : The waterproofing of Quechua tents is checked by a full tent shower of 200l of water/hr/m². The water column test (=mm schmerber) is quite well known but is not a good indicator for measuring tent waterproofing, only for fabric. Of course, the fabric needs to be waterproof (and is from 1,000mm!), but the tent must be designed and developed to keep water out of seams, flaps, openings, zips etc. Th

 

UV Protection : Our tent fabrics block over 98% of UVB and 80 to 95% of UVA rays... for those looking for daytime protection, remember that a lot of UV rays can enter through one open door.

 

Poles : Solid fibreglass; highly break resistant.

 

Pitching / folding : nstant pitching. Free-standing tent (place it wherever you like after pitching, and if there is no wind, there is no need for pegs = ready to use!). 11 pegs and 4 guy ropes included in case you need them. Folds down in 15 seconds (once you have the "knack" as shown in the instructions and on www.quechua.com).
